Scientists dig deep to find water sources
Scientists who have been drilling to bedrock in Lake County have received another shot of federal funding to continue what is considered a groundbreaking project in the Great Lakes region.
U.S. Rep. Phil Crane recently announced $500,000 had been secured for the Central Great Lakes Geologic Mapping Coalition, a project that will result in three-dimensional maps of what lies beneath the ground in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
