Well I went out to the farm I hunt today and took down my stands. I felt an empty feeling getting them, and reflected back on a great year. This year I saw two really nice bucks although they never came in range I can't help but look toward 2006 with promise. On another note as I loaded the stand I took my 6 pointer out of with my bow I noticed it was crooked. It's an old LEM lock on style stand and on further inspection noticed one of the support pieces was almost broken in half. Don't know if this happened when I lowered it down or what but either way it was obviously weak. It was broke where the bolt goes through it so I thank my lucky stars I didnt have a problem during the season. Anyway it was a good reminder to check stands before next season.
