How well did your bushes survive the local deer munchers?

Balanced diet: At this most volatile time of year, rural gardeners try to live in harmony with hungry neighbors

As more houses go up in woodsy places where current residents share the nickname Bambi, people are trying to juggle their desire to landscape with the deer's desire for food.
That equation turns most volatile at this time of year.
With winter food supplies nearly depleted, the deer are as ravenous for tender green shoots as a bunch of starved preschoolers heading into snack time.

My wife is also into perennial flower gardens for our landscaping. We've tried liquid fence, hinder but neither works as well as deerstopper. She only applies it once every 3-4 weeks even if it rains alot.

I saw an article on buckmasters web page a year ago and thought what the heck nothing else works very long after a rain. It isn't cheap but it works great.

I have good luck with deer away. It will not wash off, and it lasts up to 3 months. I will be spraying 12 acres of dogwood, in three different areas. From now till green up they really browse my dogwood. I have good luck with milorganite fertilizer also.
