River report: Tib side had about 2.5 feet of visibility, Cass side maybe 1 foot at noon today. Tib side was clean, cass had some debris coming down but was still fish-able. First spot we tried in a deep hole had no fish in it. Current was flying pretty good but off to the sides wasn't too bad for jigging. One dock had the end of it under water and ice was on the concrete - so bring some salt for tomorrow. No ice on the river yet but some will probably start tonight. 2015 stickers were not available but "might" be tomorrow at the rust launch.

Catching report: Since the traffic is way down - on this one occasion I will give you guys the spots we caught fish. Total fishing time, 5 hours for 2 guys - total keepers caught today - 5. Fish #1 in the tib side about 200 yards down from the island - don't get too excited - 2 more drifts through that area and no hits or misses. Fish #2 came about 200 yards downriver of Center ave. Once again - don't get too excited - 2 more drifts through the same area and no fish. Fish 3 and 4 came about 1 minute apart within 200 yards of the boat launch. Once again - 3 more drifts through the same area and no hits or misses. Fished at a few other areas including hooters - no fish at hooters - well none to get excited about. Took the last fish upriver from center ave in the center of the river. 3 fish came on orange head with black ice - 2 fish came on green/chartreuse glow with minnows.

For tomorrow - the current should let up and visibility should improve with it. By the end of the day, you could see your jig about 1.5 feet down near the launch. Expect some ice and a lot of guides freezing up - we will be back at it tomorrow somewhere. Total number of boats at Rust Ave - maybe 10.
