Just saw this, incredibly sad. Chris was a great inspiration to me trying to hunt on a budget and loved his book and those he wrote with John. Really unfortunate, he will be missed.

Did not know Chris personally but have known John since the early 80's.

Oh man, that is sad. I don’t know the family at all but of course know about them and their love of hunting whitetail deer. I know from within my wife’s family how tough it is to lose a child. RIP Chris.
