My uncle has a Rem. 700 ADL (wood stock) in 30-06, w/ Burris scope, flip-open caps, sling and some ammo for $400. This gun is in very good condition. Is it worth $400? It was purchased new in the 80's.
I thought it was a little high too at first but remember this is an older ADL when they were made with real walnut stocks and actual blued barrels. I'd take a 20 year old ADL over a brand new one based on the ones I've seen. Subtract the scope and I think $300 is about right for a used ADL from the era. A used, synthetic-stocked model from two years ago is a different story... Personally I'd work on the uncle to about $300 but I'd don't know how good a nephew the poster has been either.
