Ebowhunter, I saw your post on taxidermy, I assume you are a taxidermist. I got screwed royaly by a taxidermist last year. He had my cape and rack for 21 months and never finished it, my question , is my cape still good (been frozen for 2 years now) and how good are you, need some work ?? I need a taxidermist!! let me know if your interested.

21 months? I hope there was some communication from him.

I want you to be the judge of the quality of my work. Stop by, look at what is on the wall, in process, etc.. If you like what you see, leave your trophy. If you think you can do better elsewhere, I ask that you take your trophy there.

21 months in the freezer is fine if properly bagged. I have birds and mammals that have been in my freezer for years that are not freezer burned. The key is to use to plastic bags. Make sure the air is pushed out of each bag and they are sealed as tight as possible. Two bags is the rule.

I would be willing to look at the cape and tell you what I think.

Send me an email. I have next week off and will be home Thurs. & Fri.

Ebowhunter;
I have a duck that I also need repaired--it is a drake wood duck whose butt fell off! Ordinarily, I would just shoot another, but this was my Water Spaniel's first retrieve on a duck, and has great sentimental value (I had to have the dog put to sleep in Sept). Do you think that you could help me out or point me in the direction of someone who can? The taxidermist I usually use is super busy with deer mounts and doesn't seem interested.
