Super Slow today but sure was nice out there minus the bugs. Thought the bug hatch would produce some steelhead but nope.
Started at 90fow and trolled east to 125fow. No trout on bottom. Trolled back to into as shallow as 75fow marking very little. Cottonwood and algae not bad at all. Best fishy zone was 85-95fow. Hit a coho off 2 color candy corn. Then rigger started bouncing with a slider hit most likely a steelhead but shook loose after catching up with it 20 feet behind the back of the motor. Ouch! One for Two is all we could manage. Probably the worst bite we had all year and there has been some pretty slow days. Sorry for the dismal report but it is what it is for now. Last year, steelhead started showing up at the end of June. So don’t stop trying. Head to HB or the reef this weekend IMO, give PS a rest.
As a bonus, we did capture a Big floating Rubber Ducky Raft out there! : )
