Caught about 100 gills in a 5 acre pond not too far from Kent Lake from 11:30-2:00. Some were small but did bring home 20 decent ones from 7 1/2 to 9". Got 'em on spikes, red Jensen eggs, a small piece of plastic from a tubejig, a plain teardrop, it didn't matter what I put down there, they bit it. Also caught 3 bass to 2 1/2 lbs. Fished in 8-10 feet of water. Those pond gills are not getting any pressure during the winter and they are hungry and willing to bite anything. I'll share with the first few who PM me as to where this pond is...I think the pond would be better for bigger fish in the future if a few more gills were harvested out of there...
