So I was looking around to find a report on any Salmon being released on the Platte and came across an Orvis report stating the only section open was below the lower weir. I looked at the DNR regulations and don't see anything on this. I do know it closes 01/01 but anything else?

Follow Platte River Sate Fish Hatchery on FB, they put out reports like this one from today.

Only thing rules and regs say that I have found is same as you found. Cant fish within 300ft during salmon season. And closes 01/01

Sorry, you are correct. The Platte is open to fishing up to US31 east of Honor.
