I felt like I was running some sort of ice cutter this morning out on Mott Lake. Ice at the boat launch was a half inch thick or more. Down towards the river mouth things started to open up just a bit.

The geese finally flew over about 9:30 or so but were to high for shots. We heard one shot back on the river after it got light but we couldn't see what they were shooting at. Birds by the hundreds sitting just off the beach.

Looks like today was my boats final voyage for the year. Time to bust out the black powder rifle for a few days.
