Woke up about a half hr too late to hit the one of my fields so I figured I would try and get whack some birds from the new boat. got out and set up in the dense fog this mornin. Could have done better if I didnt leave my stabilizer pole stickin up, figured "ehh that wont flair birds" I didnt think I was goin to shoot/see a thing. It was great shootin birds out of the new boat. but them pits can be dangerous. cranked a goose right above me it was comin right for me. I ducked and it smacked into the brush rail. if i was layin down I would have had unplucked goose for breakfast.

Oh yeah, although there's nothing I love more than sunrise in a September hay field, I sure love well camo'ed, well sorted out boats.
And, they obviously fool birds.
I salute you, fellow naval officers.
I am threatening to post pix of my fleet, I have 4. 14' boat bling, 14 vintage Herters, 8' duck skiff, 7 foot kayak, all grassed.
