Chanel 13 Toledo just showed a live feed off Catawba state park. Lot's of shanties hitting the lake ! They showed the owner of the local bait store with a big ole smile, talking about what a great thing it is for the local economy in the dead of winter.

Checked out RICKARDS bait n tackle web site they have a ice report dated 1-12-15 stating 5-7 inches of ice, guys fishing one mile out of the state park.NO MENTION OF ATV just shantys. Some fish 3-8 lbs

Please use extreme caution guys, lots of thin pockets covered by snow. And Saturday should be a bust for anyone thinking staright. Sw winds to 30 knots, not a good combo.

Went to CC, Camp Perry and Catawba State Park. Tracks going out of Perry but nobody there. NOTHING at CC. 50+ vehicles out of Catawba SP. Many sleds and quads. In fact, one "Razor" style vehicle. Several airboats were working out of there as well. Didn't look to be going out too far either.

The warden was there.

With predicted winds tomorrow it should be ON!!

Hi Bob. They closed the shop in Marblhead and are keeping the one in Catawba open. They will only have the Catawba store going forward.

Good to hear they are still in business.....I heard they closed down.
