Any action in Wiaska Bay for perch or walleye yet? Well I should ask first if the ice is safe ?
Are they driving machines out yet?

not alot of activity yet. still open water near Superior. couple perch i hear to the right of pickles.

Hey upmounty how you doing up there in Gods country?? Good to hear from you, Perch are ok. So how much ice do you think is out in the bay (Wiaski bay)? I know there is big pike in the bay, which put up a good fight, of which I give my pike away, but fun to catch. The wife wants to come up to Bay Mills, so as soon as I catch up on my work( just started a new school LSSU) down here in st. Helen. If the weather gets real bad I can take some time off and go fishing. I will give you a couple weeks and touch base with you on the conditions. Hope you had a good Christmas an have Happy New Year !!

Still holding on up here. Had big storm and people are still without power in areas since monday. i havent been out yet out. i think ice is ok near shore by casino and pickles but opened back up out towards superior. let me know when you are coming up. I still have your phone number so i can keep ya posted. Hope you had a great holiday season also.

upmounty I made reservations at bay mills on the 8th ,9th,10th of March. I hope the bay will be frozen enough for me to use the sled. I hope we won't have a lot of slush this year? Hopefully I will be able to be away from my job those days. I think they will be mudding the drywall about that time and I don't have to run my pipe till it is mudded.
I also am hoping the fish will be there this year. I will be in touch when the time gets close.

YO,, Upmounty how is the conditions up there? It is getting pretty close ,I think I will be ok to come up on those days. The cold weather and snow has slowed down the job.
You guy s must have a lot of snow up there, how is the ice? Looks like your getting some cold temps also. I am guessing about 2 foot of snow on the ice, if so hope it didn't insulate it too much, and it froze solid before the snow came??!!
