Fished White Lake on Sunday myself - had one spit my chartreuse bag at me after a short fight and saw the third place steelie in the Perch Festival that went 11 something caught right next to me. I heard that it was slower action than Saturday on Pentwater but bigger fish - Larry Rendulic took the 2nd place steelie and some great big guy (Kurt?) got the big one.
If you see anyone using a take-off of my old "no-moving-parts" prototype that uses a hittle hook or piece of wire to hold onto the tip of the rod on Pentwater Lake - tell them to make sure their drag is set. A guy on White Lake got SPOOLED without his rod ever moving for having too loose of a drag. Wouldn't have happened with a "Richie Ring Release" on a Slammer Tip-Up!
