Nice work John. I've been too busy with projects to even get the boat out of the barn. You just gave me the motivation I needed.
Tear em up Gabe!!!!Hell yeah John, got my boat in this morning, needed some cleaning and maintenance, but out rn in 165 in front of the golf course, just got my 9 rod spread in
What a day John nice job! That is all for me today, just had one more knock off and a downrigger and nobody home. Temperature is 46.4 on the surface I’m in 160 foot of water straight out in front of the pier head. Temperature breake is shallow , About 37 feet down kind of fades to 40°. I had 55° at the pier heads this morning I’ll check the temp as I go through again. Lots of dying our wives on the Surface out here. Big balls of bait everywhere. View attachment 834414

I am sure you can get in with someone. The Michigan Charter Boat Association has a First Mate program. It is basically a drug test and some paperwork. You will be able to hit the docks and provide that to whoever you choose. This is absolutely not necessary though. If it were me, I would talk with some of the local full time Captains out of the port. There are not that many full time locals. Sport fish Michigan runs out of Frankfort quite a bit. Tiny Bubbles is probably the most popular/well known. Sara K is another one. Try calling and getting some advice from them. If they don't need you, they probably know someone that does. Good luck and keep us posted!Does anyone know if any charters are looking for a mate? I’m a travel nurse on assignment up here and don’t have my boat. Looking to work on my off days from the hospital to get on the water…
