Thanks for getting the plug on my 10 color flat-out View attachment 849649
Here’s what I’d do. The big boats, trucks, attitudes, etc don’t think they have to move. Ok big boy…watch this. My cordless drill would be ready to spin that copper in. All hands on deck to get everything else in. All the while, I’m staying the course but imperceptibly slowing down. He’s a meathead, hill-womp so you know he’s going to pass you as close as possible and probably say something about your mother because it’s “your fault.” Everybody smiles and waves as he passes. Then, as close as possible to the back of his boat that should be named, “compensating,” I heave my 1# ball that is tied to 50# Fireline; wait till the lead hits the sand; then start reeling and yanking like it’s 1968 and I’m below Tippy.

Fished this morning started with the hardest hit I've ever had in 105 ft of water, had my 300 copper to my back and my 2 dipsys in front of me. I sit sideways. I really thought someone ran into me the way it hit the rod. By the time I got to the rod and pulled it out the line snapped, there went my copper and board, I tried circling around to grab the board but lost it in the darkness. So I set the 400 copper out, and a soon as I set it. the high side dipsy went. Lost that after a 3 min fight. Reset that then the low dipsy went and landed a 28" laker. 10 min after that the copper went, had him in for about 5 min. Gone. Then trolled up to the point and had this idiot go behind me at about 200ft I yelled that I had a 400 copper out and he asked if he was far enough away. Lol. I reeled it in not to get hooked. Lost another on the 400 after the turn at the light house. Then decided to run to Platt bay just to see what was up. Half way there, my motor decided to trim all the way up. Would not go down. Had to shut the battery off to get it to stop. Had to use the kicker all the way back to the port. Get back on the trailer and every thing works fine now. Man I need another beer.

2-6 tonight. Dang fish are mean. Broke a couple off, one snapped a treble hook. Purple fly behind a spiny took several hits, and a purple meat rig took the rest of them outside of a nice surprise king at 9:45pm as we were reeling lines that came on a Mongolian beef. All bites came about 50 down with most action on braid divers. Beautiful night!

We ended 3 for 7 I believe. Same situation as outdoorsman1997, can't keep them buttoned or breaking off. 10 color, 300 copper, 250 WS all went. Both wire divers went, one with meat, one with paddle fly, high slide diver went with a plug, and rigger with paddle fly went. Only fish landed were on divers.

This is hilarious! “The Park Service is investigating “. Ha! This should have been done years ago, and every year to give fishermen access to Platte Bay.

The park service should be thanking the fishermen who did this! And all fishermen should provide this group who did it a lifetime supply of beer.
