That stretch has needed some attention for a long time. My question is what’s the best route to get around the construction this summer. I usually get on 31 off of 669 at the hatchery. Any suggestions.
We have all been there TDD. I more than I care to admit. Big switch in the water temps never helps. At least your out there. I haven't made my first trip yet. I'm close to getting out and adding a report. Maybe even some video. Underwater cameras are all charged and waiting for my slow old body to get its stuff together.Against my better judgement, we launched out of Arcadia and beat feet up to the Herring Hole and trolled south with the wind.
39 degree water 45 Feet down everywhere. We looked deep and shallow. All lines 50’ and above for most of the trip. Drug 2 on bottom for a laker.
Bait was up shallow (60’) so we stayed in. 12 lines and 3 hours later, we ended up like the Tigers. Big skunkaroo. That is 2 trips in a row.
I’ve been doing pushups every chance I get to punish myself for failing miserably…especially after a great spring. Dawg Days of Summer got me suckin hard.
Anyway, I’ll get back on the horse when the winds get back to the SW again.

Always happy to hear that Jays there. I’ll admit I’m the worst when it comes to the art of filleting a fish. My wife always ask if I used a hatchet.Skunked 🤔
Fished this morning, warm, warm, warm.
We had 68* down 110’, fished it all the way out to 300’ with no cold water. Only fish saw come in (3) were caught in 130-150fishing the bottom 10’.
Jay looked pretty bored at the cleaning station.
