Two brothers from downstate set up their travel trailer two weeks ago on CF land on the side of a woods road here and established bait sites they have been hunting since the 3rd season open. Recently several other hunters joined them. Then this weekend just a half mile down the road another group with 3 or four travel trailers set-up and are hunting the same area the first group had already been set-up in.
Seems like folks would have more manners than to set-up on top of each other.

Hunter and fisher ethics and sportsman ship started on a long down ward spiral the day the first pacific carp swam up the rivers in Michigan. Not knowing how to catch them fair and square it went on to a snagging fest. From there it even went to snagging walleye in the hot water hole at the Cobb Plant in Muskegon.

It has not gotten much if any better over the years since.

I call it the ice shanty syndrome. When one shows up soon there will be twenty. Too many people aren't willing to put in the leg work of scouting and hope to feed of off others. Its happened more than once to us. Opening day of trout we had a camper set up camp right next to us, we were the only ones in the entire state forest campground. The best was when we were hiking the grand sable dunes and stopped for a break an hour from the car when a family of four came and sat down right next to us. We politely left(kind of).
