The latest that I have fished the Saginaw River was last year, a little later in the season. Few more 'eyes in the system and alot of ice. I think I quite fishing aroun 10pm. I was gettiing hit's, and foul hook'd a couple. But, I thought that I was doing as good during the day time, than as I was then, and still think that. I beleive at night, with the colder temps, the fish go into hybernate mode That is all that I can give you from last year's experience. Also, I talked with a couple of guys early in the morning last year on my way out, they were just leaving. Said they got their limit, but took the majority of the night to do it. Good luck if you do try it.
