Thinking of doing a night hunt for Coyotes and just wondered.

Can you use the battery powered hand held spot lights?

Or does it have to be more like a flash light?

Thanks

At night, no rifles except .22 rim fire or shoutgun without slugs or buckshot.

Hi Ray I am not calling you out or anything but I got this right off the DNR site

Only .22 caliber or smaller rimfire a rifle or handgun, or shotgun with loads other than buckshot, slug, ball or cut shell, or bow and arrow.
The way I am reading this is that I am legal to carry my .17 HMR rimfire rifle as long as I follow the only loaded while actively calling rule. Am I right in my understanding, or am I going to get a ticket? That for clearing this up for me.....Matt

No, your correct, a .17 caliber rim fire which I don't believe there are a lot of them out there yet or with a 5mm rimfire, the only two that I am aware of besides the .22 rim fire or a handgun that is a .22 rim fire or smaller. Of course we again are talking at night only with the above info.

During daylight hours with the exception of Nov 10 thru Nov 30, any rifle you want even in the shotgun area. You can also use slugs and buckshot during the day as long as not in those dates.

That's what I get for trying to answer short and sweet.;)
