This gets me so mad I wana just spit..I have a new barrel on my Remington 700 and it will keep around1 inch with 5 shots..If I dont scrub it out it will throw flyers and shoots like crap..This drives me mad..my bud bought a Savage and it will shoot 3/4 all day.even with a dirty barrel..I think its time to lap the barrel.

Ain't that a kicker? I know I won't part with my Savage. Probably could have bought 2 Savages for the price of a 700 and extra barrel.

Gotta say that the Savage is probably the most accurate rifle out of the box!!! Especially for the price.
Not to create something, but rumor has it that Remington's quality is decreasing. According to some gun writers, Winchester is starting to pick it up! After reading thse reports, I went out and got a Win 70 Black Shadow in .30-06. Compared to my Rem 700 in 7mmMag, its far more accurate. Pretty much in the same line as my Savage in .270

Aint this a b!^@#..I stuck a shilen target barrel on it..I was hoping to blow a the Savage off the range..I have goten sick of having my buddy's Savage never out side the 10 range.Even at 200 and 300 yards. I will be instaling a new HS precision varmint stock I am hoping this will help with accuracy, after this I will be sending my SWIFT scope in for inspection,I know damn well this is a good barrel. I get a few flyers now and then The first thing this week I heading to a friends shop to touch the crown,check the chamber and run a bore scope down the tube..I use J-B and use CR10...

Have you tried pillar bedding the action?? This could be the cure to all your problems,... that is if it hasn't been done already.
