Is Muskie fishing getting popular? Absolutly. We are seeing a huge surge in new anglers seeking the Mighty one. There is no other freshwater fish so fun to cast for . They will chase a 12" hunk of wood or a giant spinner right to the boat!! you better learn your figure 8 or you will miss those follows. They can be trolled with large crankbaits and there are no lures like muskie lures. bbiiiggg stuff!!! I have benn chasing muskies for several years now and have caught many and guide trips on several Inland lakes. Muskie fishing is as exciting as it gets. Unfortunatly we need more fish and more water with fish to keep up with this new generation of muskie nuts. But folks if you fish for them handle them carefully and let em go. get a graphite mount that will last forever and help preserve this pricless resource.
