I would like to fish the Muskegon river in March/April of next year for walleye by boat focusing primarily on the section between Lake Michigan and Croton Dam. If anyone has any advice as to local boat launches to accommodations, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!:fish:

Only open for two weeks during that period. Closes on 3/15 and doesn't open till last Saturday in April. Think low and slow early and spawning gravel late. During the opener the river is an absolute zoo! With trout guys, steelhead hookers and walleye warriors its awful. Good luck.

Hmm, I seem to fish open water for steel down there every year all winter, never seemed frozen to me. Now above croton is frozen atleast until big rapids or so.
