went out yesterday ended up 10 for 14 3 kings and 7 nice coho
as I was trolling along in about 135 ft a boat leaves the pier heads heading right for me pulls up with in about 10 ft beside my outside planer board and points down at it and comments to his buddy look there's a board then proceeds to go ahead and pull right next to me to see how the fishing is going I say to him your too damn close he says I just wanted to see how the fishing is going I said YOUR TOO CLOSE he may have been about 30 ft I thought about chucking a cannon ball at him at that time but I was nice I told him the fishing was ok
just an fyi if any other boat pulls up that close to me on the lake and there not in some kind of serious trouble ill take that as a threat and start chucking balls

Sweet. Staying mostly in that 135ft range then? I may make one more trip this year... just waiting for them to move in, and to put a couple deer in the freezer.

Definitely not cool... We went out this morning. But found 4-6 foot rollers out In front of the pier. Needless to say we didn't get offshore, but we did find a pile to play with. Also saw what looked to be a real nice steelhead come rocketing out of the water.

Guy in a maxim ran between my boat and planer boards on plane. One caught his antenna, board slammed off his windshield and just about took his face off. Wonder what 50# braid would do to your neck at 30? Boards were set 50 and 80' out on the counters, not at the piers, not another boat within a mile....

Had a jet ski follow us out to 170' and ask us what we were doing, then asked for an escort to shore. Sorry. In hindsight, wonder how far he would have followed. Wisconsin is only 2.5 hours away.

I was fishing from shore in the lower river towards the mouth and saw a boat working their way downstream above me - they could not see I had 3 lines out with one out towards the middle of the river. I had just checked the line out in the middle and kept it a bit closer to the bank. Then they pulled a monster bassmaster hole shot and were blasting past me without knowing that there was a line out there - fortunately for all they missed my line - if it would have been where it was just a few minutes before there could have been problems for all involved. No fireline, fortunately, however I do like my line on my reel not wrapped around a prop shaft or across someones throat!

Why do we run into the worlds most stupid people when we are at the boat launch or out in the middle of the lake fishing? I have run into some pretty stupid ones this fall on the rivers fishing too. I think that they take a crash course on stupid prior to getting close to the water.
