Finally a good morning on the river......Fished in bay city and was very sucessful this am. they seemed to like the jig raps fire tiger and blue slver ...although i also took a BIG perch on the cicada. They started late and were still going strong when I left...I had a patient at 1100... and left at 10:00. Good size and numbers I really enjoyed myself! Thanks for all the help from people on the river fishing advice....it is very different from the bay and requires completely different tech.

largest pob went 3 1/2 lbs smallest about 18inches......I did not keep them because I was running out of time (yes I have been chewed out 3X already...but I fish mostley because I love it) caught abou 7 lost or could not hook up with another 6 or so....the bite was really gentle. Almost like fishing crappie. It was like the line just got lighter and you set the hook and there was a good sized fish ( I think I need to retrofit my raps with trebs or stingers....Thanks again to everyone for the advice.

Thanks for the info. I was wanting to try bay city and now I got a good reason to go. It will have to wail until after the Hubbard outing this weekend though.

Good job EXITPUPIL. Nice to hear some fish being caught that are legal. I just talked with my brother and said that he was talking to a guy, who was out on the river and caught his limit withing a few hours. Not sure what he was using, but the guy told my brother that they were very aggressive, and on the bite big time. Hope to be out in a few day's.

We fished at Wickes Park and caught one keeper but luckily it was a 6 pounder but nothing else Friday Or Saturday morning.How did you do Saturday it was our worst day of the year so far 1 14 inch walleye.
