Baitcasting or spinning, rod specs would help

 

From what I know they are used with mooching reels. They flex with the eyelets down so I imagine that I could use a spinning reel on them. I ordered two so I'll find out pretty quick.

 

A lot of mooching is done with sinkers we'd consider moderately heavy on the Great Lakes.
Did you get them or other info about them?

 

I ordered two of them. They are fenwick hmx's 10'6" rated 10-20lb with a moderate fast action. Paid $40 a piece new, will be perfect for floating skein. I plan on replacing the bottom three eyelets to improve casting capabilities with a spinning reel.
