On some rivers close to my house Gar are considered a nuisance. When they get thick a lot of the walleye and smallies move out. I've caught a few this year by accident and hooked a few 40+ inch ones but was glad they popped off. Wading in a river with some fast current and having a gar jump right in front of you eye level is pretty intense :dizzy: especially since I wasnt targeting them.http://www.fishing-headquarters.com/boundlesspursuit/page/2/ Check out the massive longnose gar. 61"
