I fished the basin today with Tombo and Glen. I got there at 3pm and fished til 5pm.
Between the three of us we caught a whopping total of 12 dinks.
The ice was iffy around the docks, but good enough to go to the other side of the island.
Most other guys we talked to had about the same luck as us.
Good luck if you go.

Sparetime, We tried wigglers, minnows , spikes and waxies. I never would have thought about half a minner. Were you on the other side of the island?

From my experience, the minnow heads outfish the whole minnows 2:1. I usually fish one of each. Last time everything I caught was one the minnow head.

ImaRedneck-

I was not on the other side of the island. I was only, maybe, 100 yards off shore from the parking lot. I was in the viking shaty with the long black sled sitting outside the door with the blue auger laying in it.
