Any thing good happening over there? My son and I are coming over for 4 days on the 21st. I was hopping the thermocline was up a little,and maybe the fish were hanging around.It is funny I don't hear many post about salmon there where Frankfort and Ludington are on here quite a lot?

I love to here about Manistee, Was there a week ago ended up with 4, had a good time. I am thinking of coming back around the 11th. Left my boat there so I don't have to drag it back and forth. If you want you can pm me on any particulars. Thanks

Headed up Wednesday afternoon thru Sunday. Does anyone have any info on if nets are in the area? Planning on taking a recon lap when we get into town before going to the slip and prepping gear for Thursday morning.

fished two week hiatus first week 8-12 off pier kings steelhead mix. seen bunch of alewives last day of my pier zombie mode. riverside pounded fastest boat limit of season the morning after the bait arrived. way out of channel one of our trips harbor surface temp 61 degrees middle of a 80 degree day with a non stop alewife bait cloud from mouth to mouth. lake was warming we ran beach but midday lull opted to check out deeper and was greeted with best numbers for season but no bigs. also opted to steer clear of the money boat water and try new grounds. ended up two grease 20 pound class for big fish out there and not the matures we thought would have been marks we seen. so with warming waters and not seeing the fish we wanted fished the money waters midweek and evenings with less pressure. end of my stay bite definitely improved and cheat code j plug bite is here. the early bird gets the mature. a high Dipsy back in the 35-45 zone with a couple 5-7 color and a 10. broke 4 spoons and lost entire core on a few trips. chrome 20's were biggest of trip a 21 1/2 was our biggest overall. did put hands on a 28 at the cleaning station a boat 30 biggest ive seen for trip. instalaunch had bunch of usa moonshines. less picked thru 31 traffic doesn't hit it like tangled tackle. best time of year is here.

Nothing last night but only fished a couple hours and split before dark to get the second boat ready for this morning. Two boat crew this morning. Had a couple guys come up late. 5-9 on one boat and 6-8 on the other boat with one throw back. Everything fired. Flasher fly probably best overall and a couple plug bites. Rest on spoons.

Ill be in Manistee with the wife and kids this Saturday for a week. Kinda pulled a last minute decision to catch the last bit of summer before kids start sports and school. Here we come!

I’ve been up here for a week now and fishing has been great. Spoons, plugs, flasher fly, meat all working. Just depends on the day.

same. Our crew is roll’n into town sun afternoon. Lord willing, we gonna fish through Wednesday. I’m gaining confidence that we will be able to get out Sunday evening. Even if it is late evening…. Hope she lays down after tomorrow’s big blow. 🤞
