Anyone else going to Kentucky for the annual machine gun blast? Going down with a friend for that weekend, and hope to buy a few items at the gun show areas. Maybe have some pics to post when we get back.
I spent the money on a new .45 Vector UZI, and a new Auto Ordnance Thompson deluxe with a 100 round drum coming behind it UZI should be in this week with the Tommy gun coming in shortly thereafter.
Dam election jitters got me spending money way too fast on high cap mags and arms. Scaled back on quite a few things loading up the gun safe and magazine locker lately. Hopefully will have my 1919 belt fed and Saiga 12 after Christmas.
Would rally like to get a Barret or other .50 semi auto before the next ban comes. Another M1A and a AK or two would sure be nice as well....
Have not been to the Knob Creek shoot cause it coincides with hunting season, but another option is the Campy Bob's BulletFest in Minerva, OH. It usually falls around Fathers Day. Always has been a great time. Like going to the casino, only bring the amount of money that you are willing to lose. Most people are really cool and will sell you clips for the gun that you want to shoot, just ask. So far, I've had time on the MP5, Saw M249, UZI, AK-47, M16, M1 Garand, M60, and the mother of them all Barrett 50. Don't have the cash to shoot the minigun, but they had a few there last time I went. It's funny how the line comes to a stop when that thing gets-a-goin'
Campy Bob has things under control. There is always a range meeting prior to the shoot to go over the rules and safety guidelines and there are plenty of RO's there to help him enforce it. http://www.bulletfest.net is the website, if you'd like to check it out for '09.
