got our limit of buffleheads today, mostly hens, flew much better am, no sign of big ducks, anybody got big divers?

AAAHHHHHHhhhhh Yes the elusive hen Bufflehead......

Not the brightest creatures on the planet are they.

We shoot a lot of Buffleheads, some times a few big ducks. We hunt Anchor Bay.

Well, the choice was either the ubiquitous Buffy or Rudd-row.
They eat better, so that's what we chased. Ended up with 6.

I'm switching gears now and layout hunting in the city.
The Bay's all your snow.

Managed 2 nice drake bluebills to go with 3 buffies and a ruddy on Sunday morning layout hunting 2 different spots in Anchor Bay. LOTS of ruddies and buffies. Only saw a handful of bluebills in the first spot I hunted and none in the second spot. Hopefully the slightly cooler temps and more northerly winds the next few days will start to move some birds into the area. Gonna try it again next weekend.
