On my travels today I got a chance to pull into a couple of spots. First was the DNR launch by the spillway, it had some slush but no ice. Several guys pulled in while I was there. I guess they were hoping as I was to see some ice. I headed south to the library and saw 3 guys on the docks. I watched watched for a while and they caught a few. But again no ice. I hope this wind dies down so it will form. Anybody check Cotton Rd lately?

John, gotta love you attitude.

Its gonna take awhile for LSC to make some good ice. There are many gas pockets to look out for and also the wind will play a big part. I'd say at least to Jan. 20 or so except for shore ice.

The raft will be first and Cotton rd not far behind. Crocker area a little later.

Shore ice forming 1/4 mile out from 9 mile. That was at 2130 hrs. 1-6-4 and could change with the wind. The Marinas were icing up nicely except for long stretches of canal west to east.
