Fished the Venetian Canal this morning, before first light to about 10:00am. Between 3 guys we had about 5 keepers (8" fish) and caught several dinks. Bite was light, maybe due to the front that came through. Ice was not any thicker than it was a week ago, 4", thanks to the snow cover. Some spots were very slushy with a fair amount of water on the surface after the snow was cleared away. Headed to Mitchell's Bay tomorrow.
