Big pike like cool water, so this time of year look toward the channels and their outflows, especially where there are cabbage weeds. So there should be some by Grassy and the weed lines along the N channel outflow drop-offs.

Yes, there is that approach, especially if you're trolling a 7cm original rapala for perch or bass with UL gear. They will all break off, and maybe trash your tackle, granted.Go fishing, have your heart set on catching anything BUT pike, they will crash the party!
