Launched at Erie Metro. Started in TC at 6:45a, caught (2) right away then did nothing but donate jigs for the next 45 minutes. Moved over and fished until 1p between Hickory and Sugar Islands, ended up with (10). Water was gin clear, caught all fish in an avg of ~17'. Water temp averaged about 48° but did see 50° in one spot.
Blue Ice did the best, followed by Brown WW - all with minnows. One 5-6lb female with very tight eggs, rest were males 15-20". We haven't even reached rookie status yet, so we were happy - good day on the water. Talked to a lot of guys, most were doing about like us - some better, some worse.
We saw (2) different boats with camera crews in them. Not sure how those guys ended up last week?
