since nobody had fish reports for the lake,
i went out for myself to have a look see.

in 10 feet of water landed a nice 5 pound brown trout.
also surprisingly a 2 pound king. both on bombers.
water 37 degrees, good visibility. lake was flat calm.
there was some dirty water near shore but clear a little distance out.

for my entertainment i got to see the US Coast Guard, which has a station 200 yards from where i fished, do practices. they dropped swimmers in the water and had them swim a mile to the station with two safety boats and copter. they had suits on and fins. i assumed they were chilly but were surprisingly strongly swimming after being in the water for 30 minutes.

was just north of the bluewater bridge in port huron.
i was fishing the canadian side.

heard some americans on the radio getting kings just up the lake from me.
