Not much doing at Flat Rock.
I was the only one fishing and besides a few bass of 6 inches or smaller there was nothing happening.


After a few hours I moved up river from Flat Rock. A musky in the 3+ foot range materialized out of the murky water just below me as I was pulling a large spinner out of the water. Scared the SHXT out of me and I nearly fell in. This is the first time I've ever seen a musky in the water.

The musky disappeared again and nothing else happened the rest of the day.

I've been driving through Flatrock almost everyday on the way home and haven't seen much action yet. Only one guy fishing by the coffer, maybe you. Water levels seeming to be starting to pick up. Maybe I'll actually take the rod out of the care this week.

Next time that happens, you might want to try casting to the same spot over and over and do a couple figure-eights with your lure each time just before you take it out of the water. Sometimes this really pays off for me.
