Ok. So it isn't a ruffed grouse. It is a sage grouse. I went out after them today about 10 miles south of the Saskatchewan border. Hot as hades today in the sage. It touched 94 today without a cloud in the sky. In the picture is Tecumseh.

I would love to hunt Sage grouse sometime.

1, How well did it hold?

2, What size shot? BB? or just A turkey load?:lol:

Your dogs looking good especially in that kind of heat. Enjoy your season.

They held fantastic. I used a #6 load, the same I have been using for sharptails, and it dropped instantly.
