I’m back in at 2:30.
No sightings yet so he either laid down so I can’t see him or he moved. He was still there at 1:30.
I’m covering the southern end of the fence and my neighbor left work early so he can cover the north.
Fingers crossed!

Classy move sharing the info with the neighbor. Many would hide the intel to give themselves the only opportunity.

I needed to move also, hoping this spot gives me an advantage.
Also just discovered that the land owners son made it out to hunt. It’s possible the buck winded him on entry.
He’s not hunting anywhere near this buck....but maybe I’m not either.

Too small for a Mountain Lion as these prints were about 3 inches, coyote maybe but there were no toe nails in these pics. Big pads beyond the prints and wide spacing. Big big old bob cat maybe.

[November Sunrise]

Dropped son off at his favorite S Calhoun county spot. Drove to N Calhoun for my one and only sit of firearm season. Easy access stand - got in at 4:15, going to sit til 5:10, slip out and be back to my sons location by 5:45 Calm and peaceful evening - all is well at this moment

Another non stop action day. Deer have been in and out of here all afternoon. Two different spikes a 7 does and 7 fawns. It looks like mr big eluded me this firearm season.

I was just checking my notes for the UP Deer Camp survey. I have not had a backless sit which is a first for me. I’m hoping that trend continues through ML season.

The migration has not really started. I’m hoping it waits another week.

When deer move in they sometimes bring wolves with them. It doesn’t even take a day for them to push all the deer out of this block of woods. They typically filter back but if the conditions are right I’m done here for the year.

Doe number 8 is walking by right now.

It was great sharing my shack with you guys. We’ll talk again next Friday if I have cell signal.
