Delta, interstate, alliance are okay if you are driving by them already. Ther rivers around Lansing are better just because you never know what will be there. Check out any one of the numerous parks along the rivers. I've also heard that they opened up the red cedar stretch that goes through MSU's campus but probably check first just in case.
I don't think it is the entire Red Cedar through campus. Just the western end where it flows past the baseball stadium - and beyond.
The Grand River is worth fishing all the way to the big lake. Look for parks or public access along the riverbank. Good smallies, carp, cats. They even get some anadromous species - though not this time of year. I used to do some bank fishing there when I lived in Lansing back in the '80s.
