Heading up for the holiday weekend and looking for a good area to fish. I'll have my nephews with me as well. Never fished off a boat up there. Any help with where to go, what to use, what to fish for would be appreciated. You can also pm if you want to be private.

You can fish about anywhere in Lake St. Helen and tear up the bluegill. There are plenty of big ones in there. There is supposed to be a decent crappie population there also. I fished there a lot late last summer and killed the bluegill on everything from teardrops and waxworms to crawler harnesses drifted over weedbeds. We also caught a lot of largemouth bass on texas rigged plastic.

as of last week, the best pan fish bite was in the cuts. I fished the main lake and didn't do so hot. Didn't do so hot in the cuts either on panfish that is. Did catch some pike, and there is no size limit. I would fish for pike if going again. Troll with spinners or floating rapalas.
