I finally got into some of those LSC jumbos. Fished out from Gino's with lines in the water just before 7:00am. It is a morning bite with it over by about 10:30am. Ended up with 17 south of Ed's spot.

All but 2 came on minnows, 2 on wigglers. Went down to 1lb test and a small "Jammin' Jig" and it was Jammin! My other rod was 2lb test and didn't get half the hits.

I had the camera down and fishTV really helped today. I didn't see a single walleye today.

the biggest fish was just about 13", the other big ones were 12".

This place is much better durning the week, the crowd was nill today compared to Sunday.

Nice fishing with you I'llbeoutside, let's do it again.

good job man, i got a few this mornin spearin, but not too productive.... if i wasn't fartin around earlier in the mornin i woulda gotten a few more. eh well, thats fishin.... I don't know where i'm headin tomorrow mornin, but i'll be on the pond somewhere.

without giving me the exact spot, about how long of a walk is it from genos to where you were fishin? Depth of water would be helpful too, wonder if i should bring my spear at all. Send me a pm if you don't want to post it.

thanks,
steve

Nice catch! I haven't gotten out since Sunday morning. My wife and I caught a dozen jumbos but everyone around us was slower. Hoping to get out there with Dave B on Friday, and again all weekend during "tip-up" town.:)

Its about a 1-1.5 walk out from Ginos to the spot, it depends on if your going north or sout of ginos. Depth is about 10-12 FOW depending on exact location. You can see the bottom but I would think that spearing would be rather difficult.

MSUICEMAN; I walk out to Ed's spot and then South some 300 yds., then in the middle of pack, there I ck my gps and it said I was 1.24 miles from Geno's. If I can walk that far you can I would think. There is no snow but you need cleats. 5pm I went in to 5' of water to get into the late bite. There was some people fishing real close. I wonder how they are doing? I'll try again next week.

Good Job Hunt. That’s a nice pile of Perch! My Dad and I started out of Metro in about 7 ft of water, then moved out to 10 ft where we caught a couple of nice 11 inchers within 15 minutes of setting up.(Between 4:15 and 4:30) Thought we found a good spot but it went cold on us and we finished the night with just those 2. plus a dink. Talked to Slowpoke on the radio on his march out (Good Luck next week). It was an easy walk with cleats on. Hopefully I can give it another go within the next week.
Good luck to all!
