Got invited to spend a long weekend at the end of May fishing Lake Cadillac and Mitchell. I've driven by a few hundred times, but never fished either one. I need some inside info on what, how, and where to fish so I have some idea of what kind of gear to take with me. Thanks for any help.

Been awhile since I have fished them however, They are both considered some of the states best Blue gill and crappie lakes. End of May you should hit them when they are on their beds. Try Poppers behind clear bobbers on smooth water.

Both pike and smallmouth fishing is excellent in both lakes, with Lake Mitchell being better for northerns than Lake Cadillac. One problem with fishing these lakes is an inabundance of large areas of structure.
