Anyone fishing the Joe? Pier or beach or river? I am going to have to fish at some point this weekend (got the itch), but haven't heard much. My preference would be to fish the north beach, but the wind situation doesn't look to promising. Pretty confident with the rain this week that I could smack a couple of steelies in the river, but not all about the crowds on the weekends. Anybody been fishing?? Feel free to PM me if location is "under wraps".

Ended up getting out for a couple of hours last evening at Berrien. Hooked up a little skipper around dark that went ballistic and is still swimming. Saw a boat land a nice fish, maybe two after dark-but that was it. Will report again if I get out this weekend.

Anyone else fishing out there on or around the Joe??

Fished just below Buchanan dam. Beautiful day but only one 6# coho full of eggs. Was surprised that it hit a charteuse spoon in the middle of the river. Only saw a couple on the shallow beds. Just has not been a good year here !!!
