I just had some venison jerky that a dude at work had made out of his deer. I know you need a smoker (that I have) to make it, but haven't the foggiest idea beyond that.

Has anybody here made some that turned out and is willing to share how?

You don't have to have a smoker to make jerky.

I make mine in either the oven or my dehydrator.

If you use your oven just turn the temp to about 180 or 200, works great. Just make sure you put something down to catch the drippings or you will have a big mess to clean up.
