I agree he certainly looks like a yearling,. But we always have the DNR check the age of our bucks we shoot, and sometimes even ones that look similiar or smaller to this end up being 2.5 year olds. Ya never know for sure until you see the teeth.

Either a late fawn last year or he has weak genetics.
