Looking to find out if 30-06 is bigger than .35 caliber so i can use my rifle in the limited firearm zone, ive searched the web but can not seem to find anything solid. Thanks

Definitely not legal to hunt deer with a 30-06 in the limited firearm zone.

In case you did not see this when looking for your answer: The -06 refers to 1906. The year the cartridge was adopted. I learned that from this site a couple of years ago and I've been shooting a 30-06 since the '60's.

Yeah i did a little extra research. I feel pretty dumb now considering the length of a 3006 shell is way over 1.80 inches long, i will be using a ruger 44 carbine this firearm season for under the line thanks anyway
