I checked the cams this morning. Had this chunky doe pose for a pic. I didn't catch it at first but look at her nose. I thought she was licking her lips but I don't think so from the two pics. Bullet wound or cancer??

Her nostral opening looks enlarged, she has a cut/wound on the black part and the skin is folded/wrinkled. After thinking about it, she may have rammed a branch up her nose when running thru the bush?

Could be an injury, hard to tell. Don't see any major swelling or anything indicating an infection, she's fine but she might snore a little....:D

The wrinkles at the 7-8 o'clock position on her nostril is the key. Deer don't have wrinkles or sags there.

She may snort funny too.:)
