With the incoming warm weather and heavy winds how will that impact the bay? My home grounds (western Lake Erie) are trashed for sure after these winds and warm up but wasn’t sure how it will affect the bay considering shes locked in shore to shore. Planning on another trip up Saturday with some buddies most likely out of Linwood.

Who knows. There will be folks heading out all week I'm sure just keep tabs on it. West side cracks will definitely be something to keep an eye on. I'm planning on being back out by Thursday my self but we will see.

I don’t see anything real alarming in the forecast. But it will change some things for sure. The best thing about it is it should knock it down out there a bit and make for smoother travel.

Sure hope it isn't over since it just started for me. All these high 40 temperature will melt the snow and maybe shore ice. icy travel and do not know what is going to happen to major cracks. do not like it.

Just spoke to a buddy of mine and he said it’s on Facebook that the cracks are already working and opening up in spots. Not sure where the spots are since I’m not on Facebook.

6’ 2x8’s. Never leave home without them. Might need some 10 footers.

There's not a whole lot of ice to begin with on the river, current has picked up and 40 degree days coming this week I personally wouldn't trust it after Wednesday and that's pushing it but that's just me anyway speaking,if you go you best spud your way out every inch of the way out. Me personally I'm done with the river.

on top of all that, I believe its in two days they plan to open the edenville dam on the tobacco river and let a lot of water down. not sure how long that will take to get to saginaw or what the impact is once it gets there but can't be good on top of the thaw.
